Amphitheatre Lake
Amphitheatre Lake er ein innsjø av smeltevatn som er 19 km lang vest i Amphitheatre Peaks i Nye Mountains i Antarktis. Innsjøen er nesten heilt omgjeve av fjell- og isklipper, som dannar det som minnar om eit amfiteater, med ein utløpar av Raynerbreen ved vestenden. Han vart fotografert i 1956 frå lufta under Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) og vitja av ei feltgruppe under ANARE i 1958. Det skildrande namnet vart nytta av Australian Antarctic Names and Medals Committee.[1]
