«Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees)» er ein song av det amerikanske hardrockbandet Aerosmith som kom ut på det 12. studioalbumet deira, Nine Lives (1997). Songen vart skriven av Steven Tyler, Joe Perry og Glen Ballard, som hadde signert for å produsera Nine Lives. Sjølv om han vart fjerna frå rolla halvvegs i produksjonen og erstatta av Kevin Shirley, vart Ballard framleis kreditert for bidraga sine til albumet; han skreiv òg «Pink» med Tyler og Perry og «Taste of India» med Tyler og Richard Supa.

Songen vart gitt ut som singel 11. februar 1997 og toppa Den spanske singellista og nådde andreplassen i Canada i fire veker. Den toppa òg UK Rock Chart og den amerikanske Billboard. Mainstream Rock-lista. Andre stader nådde låten ein fjerdeplass i Tsjekkia, medan han nådde topp 10 i Finland og topp 30 i Island, Sverige, Sveits og Storbritannia. På den amerikanske Hot 100 nådde den 35. plassenen.

Musikkvideo endre

Det vart produsert ein musikkvideo for å promotera singelen. Videoen vart regissert av Michael Bay, og hadde eit surrealistisk landskap skildra som «12 Monkeys møter Brazil». Mange supermodellar, som Angie Everhart, er med som sjukepleiarar, herskerinner og prinsesser.[1] Videoen til songen vann bandet ein MTV Video Music Award for beste rockevideo i 1997.
