Billy Hinsche
William Hinsche (29. juni 1951–20. november 2021) var ein USA-amerikansk musikar, som var med å skipe vokaltrioen Dino, Desi & Billy og klaverspelar i støttebandet til The Beach Boys.

Hinsche vart fødd i Manila på Filippinane, som son av Celia Bautista og Otto «Doc» Hinsche, som eigde eit lokalt kasino. Far hans var frå New Jersey i USA, og mor hans var filippinsk.[1] Familien flytta til USA og busette seg i Beverly Hills. Hinsche gjekk på Loyola High School, der han møtte Desi Arnaz jr. og Dean Paul Martin. Dei tre danna seinare gruppa Dino, Desi & Billy og skreiv kontrakt med Frank Sinatra sitt plateselskap Reprise Records.[2][3]
På slutten av 1960-åra byrja Hinsche å jobba som studiomusikar for The Beach Boys. Sjølv om han avslo minst eitt tilbod om å formelt bli med i gruppa til fordel for å halda fram utdanninga si i august 1969, turnerte han mykje med bandet som vokalist og multiinstrumentalist (ofte klaverinstrument og rytmegitar) frå 1971 til 1977 og 1982 til 1996. Søster hans, Annie Hinsche-Wilson-Karges, var gift med gitaristen i gruppa, Carl Wilson.[2] Han tok ein B.F.A. frå University of California, Los Angeles. School of Theater, Film and Television i 1974.
Billy Hinsche bidrog med korvokal på innspelingar av Elton John-songen «Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me», Warren Zevon sin «Desperados Under The Eaves», America sin «Hat Trick», Joan Jett sin «Good Music» og andre.[treng kjelde].
Hinsche døydde etter ein kort kamp mot lungekreft den 20. november 2021. Mor hans, Celia Hinsche, døydde òg same dagen.[4]
