The Incredible String Band

The Incredible String Band (stundom forkorta ISB) var eit britisk psykedelisk folk-band skipa av Clive Palmer, Robin Williamson og Mike Heron i Edinburgh i 1966.[1] Bandet fekk mange tilhengjarar, særskild i den britiske motkulturen med albuma The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion, The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter og Wee Tam and the Big Huge. Dei vart pionerar innan psykedelisk folk og gjennom å bruke ei lang rekkje tradisjonelle musikkformer og instrument, i utviklinga av verdsmusikken.
