«The Golden Age of Rock 'n' Roll» er ein song av Mott the Hoople, skriven av Ian Hunter. Han kom ut i 1974 på The Hoople.[2]

Når bandet spelte songen på konsertane sine vart han vanlegvis spelt etter det første verset av Don McLean-songen «American Pie».

Singelen nådde 16. plassen på UK Singles Chart.[3] I USA nådde «The Golden Age of Rock 'n' Roll» 96. plassen og var ein av tre songar av Mott the Hoople som nådde Hot 100.[4] I Canada nådde han 64. plassen.[5]
