Hercules Dome
Hercules Dome er ein stor isdekt kuppel mellom Thiel Mountains og Horlick Mountains i Antarktis. Kuppelen vart først kartlagt av United States Geological Survey frå flyfotografi teken av U.S. Navy 1959–60. Han vart vidare skissert av Scott Polar Research Institute – National Science Foundation – Technical Universitetet i Denmark sitt radioekkolydprosjekt frå lufta i 1967–79, og kalla opp etter Lockheed LC-130 Hercules-flyet som vart nytta på desse flyturane frå 1969.[1]
