«Arabian Knights» er ein song av det engelske post-punk-bandet Siouxsie and the Banshees. Songen vart skriven av Siouxsie and the Banshees og produsert i lag med Nigel Gray. Han kom ut i 198 1som den andre og siste singelen deira frå albumet Juju.

Siouxsie sa sidan om teksten: «Med 'Arabian Knights' var det ganske spanande å få ordet 'orifices' («opningar») på radio.»[1] B-sida «Supernatural Thing», vart opphavleg spelt inn av Ben E. King i 1975 på albumet hans Supernatural. Den ekstra B_sida «Congo Conga», vart feilskrive «Conga Conga» på den amerikanske utgåva av 12"-singelen.

«Arabian Knights» kom ut 24. juli 1981 på Polydor. Singelen nådde 32. plassen på UK Singles Chart i 1981.[2]

Mottaking endre

The Guardian kalla sidan «Arabian Knights» eit «popunder»[3] medan AllMusic skildra han som «draumande».[4]

Billy Corgan i The Smashing Pumpkins valde ut songen på spelelista si i desember 2014 då han i eit radiointervju på BBC snakka om somme av favorittsongane hans.[5]

Andre versjonar endre

Paul Roland spelte inn «Arabian Knights» i 1992 på albumet hans Strychnine, og Icky Blossoms spelte inn songen 2013.[6]
