Barbara Gaskin

Barbara Gaskin (fødd 5. juni 1950) er ein britisk songar tidlegare knytt til det britiske Canterburymiljøet.

Gaskin var solovokalist i det britiske folk-progbandet Spirogyra (1969–1974). Frå 1973 til 1976 song ho korvokal med bandet til Dave Stewart, Hatfield and the North, som ein del av 'The Northettes' (med Ann Rosenthal og Amanda Parsons). I 1981 danna ho og Stewart ein duo og dei fekk ein hit med ein versjon av songen «It's My Party». Dei seinare singlane «Busy Doing Nothing» (1983) og «The Locomotion» (1986) gjekk òg inn på UK Singles Chart. Dei gav ut sju album og arbeidar framleis i lag. Gaskin har òg sunge med Egg (The Civil Surface), National Health, Peter Blegvad (The Naked Shakespeare), Phil Miller, Nigel Planer (Neil's Heavy Concept Album), Jane Wiedlin (Tangled), Rick Biddulph og Mont Campbell (Music from a Round Tower).
