«(She's) Some Kind of Wonderful» er ein song skriven av John Ellison[3] og først gjeven ut av gruppa hans, Soul Brothers Six, i 1967. Singelen nådde 91. plassen på den amerikanske Billboard Hot 100.[4]
Han er ikkje knytt til den andre songen med same namn skriven av Gerry Goffin og Carole King (og spelt inn av mellom andre the Drifters og Marvin Gaye).
Andre versjonar endre
- The Fantastic Johnny C spelte inn songen i 1968 og nådde 87. plassen på Billboard Hot 100.[5]
- I 1974 spelte Grand Funk Railroad inn songen for albumet All the Girls in the World Beware!!!. Denne versjonen nådde tredjeplassen på Billboard Hot 100 den 22. februar 1975,[6] og 74. plassen på årslista til Billboard's Hot 100 for 1975.
- Det britiske soulbandet Q-Tips (med songarne og gitaristen Paul Young) spelte inn ein versjon av songen i 1980 på debutalbumet. Denne var feilaktig tilskriven Goffin og King.[7]
- Conway Twitty gav ut ein versjon av songen i 1977 på albumet Play Guitar Play.[8]
- Buddy Guy gav ut ein versjon av songen i 1993 på albumet Feels Like Rain.[9]
- Huey Lewis and the News fekk ein hit med sin eigen versjon av songen, frå albumet Four Chords & Several Years Ago i 1994.[10]
- Little Milton og Delbert McClinton samarbeidde om ein versjon for Milton-albumet Welcome to Little Milton i 1999.[11][12]
- Toploader gav ut ein versjon i 2002 på albumet Magic Hotel.[13]
- Joss Stone gav ut ein versjon i 2003 på debutalbumet The Soul Sessions.[14]
