«(I'd Be) A Legend in My Time» er ein song skriven og framført av Don Gibson i 1960. Han vart gjeven ut som B-sida til hitten «Far Far Away» frå albumet Sweet Dreams. Gibson spelte inn songen på ny i 1972 for albumet Country Green.

Roy Orbison spelte inn songen i 1961 for albumet Lonely and Blue. Orbison spelte seinare inn ein ny versjon i 1967 på albumet hans av Don Gibson-songar kalla Roy Orbison Sings Don Gibson.

Songen vart spelt inn i 1974 av Ronnie Milsap og gjeven ut som den første singelen hans frå albumet A Legend in My Time. Dette vart den sjette countryhitten til Ronnie Milsap og den tredje som nådde toppen av countrylista i USA.[1]

Songen er spelt inn av mange andre artistar, som regel som «A Legend in My Time». Versjonar er spelte inn av Connie Francis, Johnny Cash (på albumet American V: A Hundred Highways), Timi Yuro, Frank Ifield, The Everly Brothers, B.B. King, Hank Snow, Waylon Jennings, Rick Nelson, Dottie West, Dolly Parton, Paul Anka, Joan Baez og Ray Price.

If loneliness meant world acclaim
Then everyone would know my name
I'd be a legend in my time
