Geoff Richardson

Peter Geoffrey Richardson (fødd 15. juli 1950) er ein engelsk bratsjist og multiinstrumentalist. Han er mest kjend for arbeidet sitt med Caravan,[1] Murray Head og Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

Biografi
endreRichardson var opphavleg kunststudent[2] og vart med i bandet Spirogyra i 1972, men bandet vart oppløyst etter kort tid og han gjekk inn i Caravan på bratsj.[3] I midten av 1970-åra byrja han å spele som studiomusikar, mellom andre for Kevin Ayers, Café Jacques, Penguin Cafe Orchestra og The Buzzcocks. Han slutta i Caravan i 1978, men kom attande i 1980, og spelte på The Album.[4]
Seinare i karrieren turnerte han med Murray Head, Penguin Cafe Orchestra og Bob Geldof. Han har òg arbeidd med Murray Head i studio, som Between Us (1979), Innocence (1993) og Pipe Dreams (1996). Han gav ut eit soloalbum, Viola Mon Amour, i 1993, etterfølgd av tre album med det tidlegare Caravan-medlemmet Jim Leverton, Follow Your Heart (1995), Poor Man's Rich Man (2000) og The End of The Pier Show (2006).
Han har framleis vore aktiv i Caravan opp gjennom åra og fullførte ein kort turné med dei i 2011.
