Minute by Minute er det åttande studioalbumet til den amerikanske rockegruppa The Doobie Brothers, utgjeve 1. desember 1978 på Warner Bros. Records. Det var det første albumet deira heilt utan Tom Johnston som fulltidsmedlem av bandet, og det vart det siste med medlemmane Jeff «Skunk» Baxter og John Hartman.

Albumet låg 87 veker inne på Billboard 200-lista. Våren 1979 var Minute by Minute det bestseljande albumet i USA i fem ikkje-samanhengande veker.[7] Det har selt til 3× platinaplate i USA hos RIAA.[8]
Songen «What a Fool Believes» gjekk til topps på Billboard Hot 100 i april 1979 og vart den største hitten deira. Tittelsporet og «Depending on You» kom òg ut som singlar og nådde topp 30.
Minute by Minute gjorde The Doobie Brothers til ein av dei store vinnarane på Grammyprisutdelinga året etter. Albumet vann prisen for beste popvokal av ei gruppe eller ein duo og vart nominert til årets album. Singelen «What a Fool Believes» gav dei tre Grammyprisar, mellom anna for årets song og årets singel.
