Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame
Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame er ein amerikansk organisasjon og eit æresgalleri for musikarar og andre artistar som har bidrege til den musikalske arva til Long Island i New York. Det har forretningskontor i Melville i New York. Organisasjonen blei skipa i juli 2005 som ein nonprofitt-organization med mellombels løyve til å driva eit museum i delstaten New York.[1]

Long Island Hall of Fame deler ut Long Island Sound Award til utøvarar som har bidrege til «Long Island's musical heritage»,[2] og heldt sin fyrste innskrivingsgalla 15. oktober 2006 ved Patchogue Theatre i Patchogue i New York.[3]
Organisasjonen definerer Long Island geografisk med fylka Kings og Queens i tillegg til den meir utbreidde definisjonen, som typisk berre viser til Suffolk og Nassau.
I tillegg til ein innskrivingsseremoni annakvart år driv Long Island Music Hall of Fame med utdanning, mellom anna stipend til lokale studentar,[4] førelesingar,[5] konsertar[6] og eit mobilt opplæringsmuseum.
