I 1997 skipa Blade The Fellowship Band med pianisten Jon Cowherd, bassisten Chris Thomas, saksofonistane Myron Walden and Melvin Butler, gitaristen Jeff Parker og pedalsteelgitaristen Dave Easley.
I 2009 gav Blade ut Mama Rosa, det første albumet sitt som singer-songwriter.
