His Hand in Mine er det 12. studioalbumet til Elvis Presley, gjeve ut på RCA Victor Records i mono og stereo i november 1960. Det var det første av tre gospelalbum som Presley gav ut i levetida si. Innspelinga fann stad 30. og 31. oktober 1960 i RCA Studio B i Nashville i Tennessee. Det nådde 13. plassen på Top Pop Albums-lista og selde til gullplate 9. april 1969 og platinaplate den 27. mars 1992 hos Recording Industry Association of America.[6]

Presley hadde heile livet ein stor kjærleik for kyrkjemusikk, og brukte ofte denne musikken til å øve og varme opp før konsertar og i byrjinga av innspelingar.[7] Presley hadde tidlegare gjeve ut EP-en Peace in the Valley, med gospelsongar, og ønskte no å spele inn eit heilt album. Dette passa bra med planane til manageren til Presley, Colonel Tom Parker, som ønskte å styre klienten sin mot eit meir familievenleg image og samstundes setje i gang filmkarrieren til Presley i Hollywood.[8]

Alle songane for His Hand In Mine vart spelte inn i løpet av ei fjorten timar lang innspeling. Songane «Surrender» og «Crying in the Chapel» vart spelte inn under innspelinga, men kom berre ut på singlar. «Surrender» vart den første singelen hans i 1961 og toppa lista, men «Crying in the Chapel» vart først gjeven ut i april 1965, og nådde då tredjeplassen på lista. Presley spelte seinare inn att «Swing Down Sweet Chariot» (mmå ikkje forvekslast med den populære «Swing Low, Sweet Chariot») for filmen The Trouble with Girls i 1969.[9]

Dette albumet vart gjeve ut på ny på vinyl av RCA i 1976. Dette har eit heilt anna omslag og har heller ikkje alle dei same songane som originalplata.[10]

Den 11. mars 2008 gav RCA ut ein nymastra versjon av albumet på CD, med fire bonusspor som hadde vore med på EP-en Peace in the Valley i 1957 og som seinare kom ut på Elvis' Christmas Album.

Songen «In My Father's House» vart arrangert og tilpassa av Elvis Presley og publisert av Elvis Presley Music.
