Eric Gale
Eric J. Gale (20. september 1938–25. mai 1994) var ein amerikansk jazzgitarist og studiomusikar.

Gale byrja å spele gitar då han var 12 år gammal.[1] Han tok utdanning i kjemi ved Niagara University, men valde å følgje musikkvege. Han byrja å spele for stjerner som Maxine Brown, the Drifters og Jesse Belvin. Han fekk snart merksemda til King Curtis og Jimmy Smith, som tilrådde han til studioarbeid.[2] Han vart først kjend som studiomusikar i 1960-åra, og spelte etter kvart på over 500 album. Av artistar han spelte for var Aretha Franklin, Bob James, Paul Simon, Lena Horne, Quincy Jones, Bob Marley, Nina Simone, Peter Tosh, Grover Washington jr., Herbie Mann, Esther Phillips, Joe Cocker, Carly Simon, Van Morrison, Al Jarreau og Billy Joel.[3] Han spelte ei stund i turnébandet til Aretha Franklin.
Gale døydde av lungekreft i mai 1994, 55 år gammal.[4]
