Det vart gjeve ut av Sony Music Entertainment Japan i desember 2000, og sidan i Europa og Oseania med noko anna innhald (erstatta den japanske hitten «The Stranger» med eit konsertopptak av «You're My Home»).

The Ultimate Collection vart ikkje gjeven ut i USA, fordi Legacy Recordings gav ut ei liknande samling, The Essential i oktober 2001.
